E-Type Register Track Day - Goodwood 2015

My iPhone started its alarm at 05:30, it was time to get up...

It was Bank Holiday Monday and that meant it was the annual E-Type Register Track Day at Goodwood.

Under blue skies the circuit looked great with colourful daffodils out on the inside of Woodcote corner surrounded by lush green grass. This would make a good background for my on track action shots!

This year I was determined to shoot from some new locations, this is never easy at a venue I know so well and have shot at so many times. The circuit only has two left hand turns and had a very bright sun in the sky cutting down on location options.

I normally shoot with the Shell building in the background but I wanted something different this year, I chose to sit near the marshals hut to the West of the building, giving me a clear view up Lavant Straight. Armed with my 300mm F4 on a cropped sensor camera, this gave me a great shot of the cars with a clean background.

The day welcomes all cars in addition to the E-types, and not just Jaguar models. A super bright blue BMW M3, three Caterham Sevens and a Ford Focus Estate were all out on track.

If you are reading this and were out in track, and didn't see your photos on the day, please email me at: tony@grey2blackphotography.com and I'll send you details of how to view them.

I'm loving Instagram at the movement, follow me here: https://instagram.com/grey2blackphoto/ to see my favourite shots and behind the scenes action.
